Only a few matches survived the weather last week and sadly all were not much to shout about, with the possible exception of the 1st Netball team who narrowly lost to Wycliffe College, despite some impressive play.
However, on Saturday four girls represented Wiltshire at the South West Cross-Country Championships in Bournemouth. Conditions were challenging with high gusty winds and wet ground making the running even more tougher than usual. Yasmin put in a fantastic performance, finishing 8th overall out of 50 athletes and qualifying for the National Cross Country Finals in March; Ariana came 24th overall and 3rd in Wiltshire, also qualifying, whilst Davina finished 19th, an excellent result for her first top level competition. Unfortunately Ella, having been up with Davina after the first lap, rolled her ankle and was unable to finish the race.
