St PriscasWelcome to St Prisca’s House! We are the MIV House and the final year (Year 8) in our Lower School. In St P’s our ethos is to provide a happy, nurturing environment where we prepare our pupils for the transition to Year 9, whilst also celebrating and developing their Lower School achievements.

Our core aim is to build pupils’ resilience and independence, allowing them to grow both academically and socially throughout their time in MIV. We also have a key focus on supporting pupils through their friendship journeys and helping them to navigate the often-challenging dynamics of peer relationships.

We take time to champion their learning and extend this outside of the classroom, with our end of year residential helping to re-enforce the Lower School curriculum and provide our pupils with an opportunity to build lasting friendships outside of the school environment.

The three members of our House Team work closely with our dedicated team of tutors to ensure that we provide the best all-round pastoral care coupled with a strong emphasis on academic progress. Our aim is for our pupils to leave the Lower School feeling they have developed the skills and confidence needed to achieve success in their continued journey at St Mary’s Calne.
