Last week, during the amazingly sunny weather, we had the opportunity to take some photographs of both the Lime Kiln Garden and the new Library.

The Lime Kiln Garden is almost complete and it seems such a shame there are not more people on site to enjoy it. Pathways have now been finished, and the water features and most of the lighting has been installed.

One of our parents is kindly creating three sculptures for the garden. They feature Faith, Hope and Love and reflect the Christian heritage of the school. Three Sixth Form girls have been used as models and the statues aim to capture the beauty and spirit of a Calne Girl. The sculptures will be bronzed which will give them longevity and be perfect in a garden setting. These statues were not foreseen when we launched our Lime Kiln Garden Appeal, but the bronzing of one of the sculptures has already been kindly sponsored.

The Library build is progressing well. Installation of the incredible ceiling is complete and much of the glazing has been installed. We are very much looking forward to seeing the scaffolding coming down, so that we can start to see the building in its full glory. We are really looking forward to September when the girls will be able to benefit from this fantastic new facility.

The latest photographs of both projects have been uploaded to the albums on the Calne Foundation Trust website; it's all looking great, as I hope you’ll agree!
