The LIV (Year 7) recently engaged in the ‘One Day Film School’; a fun and dynamic group activity designed to give a foundation in movie making skills, and allow the pupils to create a short film of their own. The girls were initially guided by video sessions and practical exercises, moving on to work collaboratively to create short films for sharing.

They learnt how to throw screen punches, create sound effects, camera techniques, and planning and shooting films. This tested their communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills, but they did an excellent job and came up with some very imaginative short films.
