On Monday 2nd December, Jolie, who takes the lead for Charity-focused activities in the Head Girl's Team, had the privilege of meeting and interviewing the Director of the Doorway Project, Jo Kitching.  Doorway is a local charity drop-in centre for those who are homeless, or moving on from homelessness, along with those who may be unable to sustain a tenancy.

On a day when the temperatures dropped across Wiltshire, making the charity all the more relevant, Jolie had the opportunity to ask many questions and find out more about Doorway's valuable work.  Once the hectic term ends, Jolie, an aspiring journalist, will be writing an article based on her interview about her findings which we shall publish in the new year.

Doorway is our chosen school charity for 2019-20 and to kick start our fundraising efforts for the academic year many staff are making donations to the worthwhile course in lieu of sending personal Christmas cards to one another. To wish one another Season's Greetings we are signing a large bespoke canvas, designed by LVI Art Scholar Nina, which will shortly be on display in the Dining Room, before being sent onto Doorway at the end of term with our good wishes.  If anyone in our school community would like to make a contribution to Doorway, we would be very happy to add any donations to our collection and pass it along at the end of term. Donations can be given in at the School Office reception.
