Moberly Company SupperOn the evening of 26th September, we held the Moberly Company Supper - and what a  fantastic and retro night we had. The theme was 'Top of the Pops' and 'funky'.  ABBA, Queen, Kiss and Wham! - to name a few - turned up for an evening of glorious food and great music.

Launch of the Donaldson Programme and a new Student Magazine

St Mary's Calne 'kicks off' UK football tour for Mumbai girls

OSCAR FoundationThe girls at St Mary’s Calne have been raising funds for the Mumbai-based OSCAR Foundation charity over many months to help to provide a life-changing football and educational tour for an U17 team of 15 girls from the Indian slums. The girls are looking forward to welcoming the team from India on 1st October, at the beginning of their UK tour.

Computer Science student focuses on cyber security

cyber securityThe National Cyber Security Centre, part of GCHQ, has developed a summer programme called CyberFirst which has been established to identify, support and develop the young cyber talent in the UK.  Oscara (Year 11) spent a fantastic time at Warwick University on one of the courses.

Michaela's essay 'Highly Commended' by the John Locke Institute

john lockeMichaela (Year 13) entered the John Locke Institute essay competition this year, where you could chose from History, Politics, Philosophy or Economics essay questions. Michaela chose to address the Economics question of the Gender wage gap, since it was an area that she studied not only in her A Level Economics, but also in A Level Politics where she studies the theories of Feminism. 

Girls selected to participate in BBC Student Critics' Award
