Kimberley Bridge

Congratulations to LV Form (Year 10) pupil, Kimberley, who has been selected for the U16 England Bridge team.

Kimberley will be playing in an online friendly competition against other countries over the weekend of 15th December.   She has played Bridge since the age of 9, having been taught by her grandparents, and she now enjoys playing every week with her mother and grandparents at Wootton Bassett Bridge Club.  Kimberley’s talents for the game were spotted after playing in Milton Keynes and she is honoured to be one of about 20 players selected for the U16 England squad.  The squad trains every Half Term and online every week.

My family have always been really supportive”, said Kimberley, “and it’s also fun competing against them!  Bridge is challenging and rewarding.  I’m looking forward to the online competition with the England squad; my next aim is to get selected to compete in Europe in the Euro Competition next summer.”

We wish you the best of luck Kimberley.
