Sixth Form Fair

On Saturday 22nd September, we held our annual Sixth Form Fair. This is an opportunity for girls in the UV (Year 11) to find out more about life as a Sixth Former at St Mary's.

The girls had the opportunity to hear from Miss Aherne, the Director of Sixth Form, Higher Education and Professional Guidance, about her vision for the Sixth Form and also to listen to the student perspective, delivered by our Head Girl, Hannah.

Following the talks, they then headed to the theatre which was full of subject stands. These stands were manned by staff and girls in the UVI (Year 13) and gave further insight into exactly what it is like to read each subject at A Level. With over 25 subjects in our Sixth Form curriculum, a wide range of discussions took place and there was a real buzz as girls considered their next steps. The event finished with the opportunity to tour the Sixth Form boarding Houses and chat further about the different options over lunch.
