At the start of Enrichment Week, the UIV girls were treated to a day in an operating theatre, set up in our own theatre.

After donning scrubs, a cap, a mask and a stethoscope, they calculated the correct amount of anaesthetic and anaesthetised their ‘patients’. As the day progressed, they were introduced to different systems of the body and handled biological specimens of brain, heart, lung and intestines, consolidating all that they have been learning in Biology this year. It was an extremely worthwhile day for the girls and a very different way to learn.
