On Friday, 20th May we were absolutely delighted to welcome back into school over 40 leavers from 1983, 1984, and 1985.

The Oratory Library was transformed into a stunning venue where drinks and canapés were served to old girls, many of whom had not set foot in school since they had left and certainly not since the library was the UVI Common Room, with the smell of toast emanating at all times along with the sounds of the Boomtown Rats and other 80's classics!

Several of the current LV girls gave tours of the school to the alumnae, and the kitchen produced the most incredible dinner in the school dining room. Old Girls were extremely impressed by the delightful manners and enthusiasm of the the current girls, not to mention the stunning upgrades in facilities, but they were also refreshingly reassured by what has stayed the same.

We have since been overwhelmed by grateful emails from our guests saying what an uplifting evening it was, and how welcoming, happy, cosy and relaxed the atmosphere in school is now. Next summer will be the turn of leavers from 1986, 1987 and 1988, so, for those of you from these years, keep your eyes peeled on the calendar as this will be a date you won't want to miss!
