On Thursday 5th May, six members of St Mary’s Young Enterprise company, ‘Zest’, represented the school at the Wiltshire County Final.

Alexis, Clara, Emily, Felicity, Hannah and Kitty (all LVI Form) set up an attractive trade stand, confidently answered questions from a wide range of judges and gave an engaging presentation telling the story of their company so far. Their company has produced Yummies for Tummies, a fun, healthy, activity-filled recipe book for both children and their parents. The judges were particularly impressed by their enthusiasm, passion and professionalism. The girls received lots of positive feedback about the highly impressive quality of the product that they had created and the manner in which they conducted themselves.

The girls were sparky and enthusiastic when answering the judges’ questions and showed great professionalism during their engaging presentation. They won four awards, for the Best Finances, Best Presentation, Best Innovation and Creativity and the overall trophy for the Best Company in Wiltshire. Praise must also go to Felicity who won an award for her ‘Outstanding Individual’ contribution as Deputy Managing Director of the team.

We would like to congratulate the girls on their achievements and praise them for their efforts throughout the year. It has been an exciting journey and they have developed a whole host of skills that will be invaluable in their careers.

Having been crowned the Best Young Enterprise Company in Wiltshire, they are now looking forward to representing St Mary’s at the South West Regional Final on Wednesday 15th June.
