We were delighted to welcome author Teri Terry to St Mary’s Calne on 19th October - the very day she found out that her novel Mind Games had been nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal!

Teri spoke for over an hour answering the myriad questions the MIV asked about how she became a published writer and she showed us various examples of potential book covers which she had discussed with her publishers. She also read aloud from both Mind Games and her Slated Trilogy. The girls enjoyed the opportunity to purchase her books afterwards from Devizes Bookshop which Teri kindly signed. The girls then settled down in the Common Room for an hour's reading, which was a real treat after such a busy Half Term, with more exciting activities to come during the rest of this Enrichment Week.
