Young Art WinnerWe have been informed by the Royal Academy YOUNG ART competition organisers that the judging is now completed, the Exhibition is mounted and being professionally photographed, the catalogue is finalised with student interviews and the curation of the Exhibition at the Royal College of Art is underway.

There were 7,600 entries from 87 schools and 820 pictures have been selected for exhibition. This year, work was selected by Alice (Year 9), in the print category, Adrianna (Year 10) in the painting category and Annabel (Year 10, pictured) has won the GCSE Drawing prize, selected by Eileen Cooper RA, from across the categories of Drawing, Painting and Print.  'There is some very strong work this year…and all the judges were impressed with the quality of the entries', commented Ms Cooper.

It will be an amazing exhibition; the Art team and parents are proud of the work that the students have created to help raise funds for research into childhood cancers through Cancer Research UK, children helping children.

Parents are able to attend the Awards ceremony at the Royal College of Art at 7pm on Tuesday, 30th April.
