On Thursday 4th October, the LVI (Year 12) went on a trip to Hardenhuish School in Chippenham for a lecture about Photography and Art, hosted by The Arts Society.*
We were greeted by Brian Stater of UCL who had kindly travelled from London to give the lecture. He discussed the potentially profound nature of photography, citing examples from the four main genres of: human condition, still life, portraiture and landscape. We were also given insights into some of the local students' art work. Using this timely starting point, we embarked on a week of photography-based learning, using our new knowledge to consolidate our own work.
