Before the Christmas holidays, some of the girls took part in the King's High School and Warwick Preparatory School Virtual Swimming and Fitness challenges, and there were some great results.
The UIV (Year 9) Inter-Company Hockey competition took place on a brisk November afternoon this week. Once Company uniforms and matching war paint (highlighter pen) had been donned, tactics determined, and limbs warmed up, the girls were ready to play.
Many congratulations to UV (Year 11) pupil, Amelia, who shone at the NPS Supreme Dressage Championships over Half Term, and was awarded an individual 4th place.
Saturday 14th November saw some rather excitable Fifth Form girls descend on to poolside to take part in the Company Swimming Gala.
Although school riding competitions have been very rare this term, the girls made the most of the competitions that were on offer over Half Term.
All of the Fourth Form took part in an Inter-Company swim as part of Donaldson Week, with LIV & MIV (Years 7 & 8) competing on Monday and the UIV (Year 9) girls on Wednesday. The girls were very excited to have some competitive sport again and this created an excellent atmosphere within the pool, with girls not only cheering and supporting their Company, but also one another.
The U16A and U15A Teams had been looking forward to their first Hockey matches of the season, after a long lay-off.
We are delighted to announce that England Lacrosse has selected Ella Malik (2020 Leaver) and Lottie Paterson (2016 Leaver) for the England Women's Under 23 squad for the forthcoming 2020/2021 season.
The girls at St Mary's have kept very busy doing a range of Sports, and we are working according to the Covid guidelines, to ensure the girls keep safe, fit and healthy.

On the afternoon of 9th September, we held the annual Fourth Form Inter-Company Cross Country Competition. The weather was perfect and the LIV, MIV and UIV were all raring to go.
Last week, we enjoyed our first, and hopefully last, Virtual Sports Day. The girls were awarded a point for every entry, encouraging them to enter a daily event for six days, culminating in what was to be our first full Saturday Sports Day. From the Split Step and Cross-Fit Agility challenge to the plank, wall sit and standing long jump, girls submitted their results to compete in either the junior, intermediate or senior age group.
There has been much excitement and talk as the first week of the Inter-Company Quarantine Cup came to an end on Sunday. With over 100 pupils and staff signing up to the competition, there has been much fantastic physical endeavour as well as lots of fun family walks and healthy exercise in the beautiful weather.
Over the Exeat weekend, the U14 and U15 Netball Teams made their annual trip to Shrewsbury to compete in a netball tournament at Condover Hall.
Huge congratulations to Year 10 (LV) pupil, Alice, and her pony, Star 12, on finishing in 2nd place at her regional final at Oasby on Sunday 8th March.
Following the big disappointment that the 2nds, 3rds, U15B and U13A National Schools Championships were all postponed, the 1sts were keen to get the tournament underway and play their part for the school.
On Saturday 29th February, all of the Fourth Form (Years 7-9) came together for Inter-company Netball. Unfortunately, due to the weather, this was held in the sports hall, however, this created an exciting and competitive atmosphere for the afternoon.
On the weekend of 29th February, Year 10 pupil, Tallulah, competed at the Arena UK Large Pony Premier Show jumping event.
On Sunday 1st March, our Equestrian Team headed to a new venue for us, at Mendip Plains, to contest the 90cm Schools' Equestrian Games Arena Eventing qualifier.
The last Sunday of Half Term saw the Hickstead and Windsor Qualifiers taking place at West Wilts Equestrian Centre.
