The Sherborne Super 8’s on Saturday provided a great opportunity for some further early season trials. With 36 of the seniors split evenly across three teams, Team white gelled quicker than the others but all produced some exciting and promising lacrosse by the end of the day. The U15s enjoyed an unbeaten record, scoring 45 goals and conceding 11. But the individual performance of the week was Felicity, who on Friday morning at 4.30am, along with five adults on her team, departed Dover to attempt another relay Swim across the English Channel in aid of Diabetes UK. The team swam in one hour shifts in very choppy waters and two of the team did struggle. But 13 hours and 5 minutes later, after swimming two shifts, Felicity swam another leg to land the team on French soil. Success is never guaranteed and at least two other boats turned back, so it was a huge achievement, not only in completing the challenge at the age of 15 but in providing such great support for the team.
