Last week was a big week for our athletes. Ella came 3rd in the U14 County Pentathlon and an impressive 18 St Mary’s athletes were selected to represent North Wiltshire at the County Championships on the 11th of June. Last Wednesday was the rescheduled ESAA Track and Field Schools Cup where a team of U15 and U13 athletes each have to compete in one track and one field event and are awarded weighted points for their performances. The Junior Team did well finishing 3rd behind South Wilts Grammar and Godolphin but our Inters were on winning form, beating the strong field of contenders and winning for the 3rd year in a row. They now progress to the Regional Final in Exeter on the 7th June. In tennis the U15As beat Clifton on Saturday while the U13As and the U12 A,B and C teams all beat Kingswood. Despite the miserable weather, St Mary’s tennis teams remained enthusiastic and competitive as always despite the wind and drizzle. Congratulations to all who represented the school!
