Busy week of sport

  • Post Category:Sport

The week got off to a great start with the 1st Netball Team beating South Wilts Grammar in an exciting 25-23 thriller, and the U14 A, B and C Teams all beat Godolphin. In hockey, the U12As continued their unbeaten run, beating Godolphin As, while our C Team lost to Godolphin B and our B Team lost to Prior Park As, despite both being good games.  At U13, the As lost to Prior Park As while the Bs and Cs both beat Godolphin As and Bs. Despite some key U16 hockey players at Anything Goes rehearsals on Thursday, the team had a great match against Sheldon, losing narrowly 1-2 while the U15s beat Sheldon convincingly without their cast players.  On Friday night, we hosted our first ever Biathlon Time-Trial with almost 100 athletes trying to qualify for the British Schools Biathlon Championships. Sylvia won the U15 and Amy won the U12, along with some other exciting medal winning performances from St Mary’s. Lacrosse matches against St Helen’s and St Katharine’s usually bring out the best in us and Saturday was no exception. All three Senior Teams, both U15A and B Teams and the U13A and U12A all enjoyed glorious victories, particularly the 1sts who won 8-3, having lost by just one goal to them last weekend!
