We were also able to invite five state schools from the local area under the auspices of the Independent State Schools Partnership. Playing to an audience of well over 200, they treated us to a mixture of high farce, low farce, juggling, acrobatics, and audience participation, as we were taken though a day in the life of the wacky village of 'Ichweissnichtwo' ('I know not where'). In addition, it was all in German! Directions, a weather forecast, meals and all sorts of other language tumbled higgledy-piggledy into our laps through rap, mime and jokes. The show was over in a flash – a sure sign that all was well and worthwhile. All in all, an excellent event and a chance to put German centre stage once more.
