St Mary's Calne

On the evening of 28th January, St Mary's Jazz Artistes made their debut performance outside school at the Calne Music Festival Committee's Annual General Meeting at Marden House.  After the formality of the AGM, committee members and guests were treated to a number of quality vocal arrangements, ably accompanied by the Jazz Band.  With a variety of numbers ranging from Feelin' Good, through to Son of a Preacher Man and on to modern day hits like Valerie and Mercy, the audience was impressed by the standard of musical talent and have asked that the band return to the Jazz Club in the near future.  Plans are afoot for more school performances too, so watch this space!
