On Tuesday 20th April, the entire UIV Form attended a screening of British director David Leveaux's multiracial production of Romeo and Juliet in Marlborough Town Hall.

On Friday 17th April we were extremely proud to welcome seven exceptional Old Girls,  each representing a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) profession,  to come back to school to talk to our Sixth Form Scientists.

Tiger Kloof's Director gives an inspirational talk

Today (19th March) we were very privileged to welcome Mark Boobbyer, the Director of Tiger Kloof, a rural school in South Africa, to speak at our Mark Reading end of term assembly, along with his wife Cathy Boobbyer, who grew up in Cape Town during the apartheid years. They gave an inspirational talk with a powerful message.   

Show Jumping Success at Kings NSEA

Congratulations to Lizzie and Lila (pictured) and Jemima who won the team 90-95cm Class at Kings Equestrian Centre, Herefordshire, on 15th March. 

Girls selected for Regional Academy Lacrosse Tournament

Six St Mary's Calne girls have been selected for the Regional Academy Lacrosse Tournament on 11th April in Coventry.  Many congratulations girls!

On the evening of Monday 16th March, 13 At Mary's girls set off to The Public Schools Fencing Competition at Crystal Palace.

Girls support Plan UK's 'World Wide Walk'

On Sunday 15th March, the LIV and MIV girls, with Mrs Taylor-Smith, Mrs Paddock, Dr Kirk and her dog Lily, Miss Newsome-White and Miss Thornton all enjoyed a delicious roast lunch before piling on to a coach to head off to Chippenham to walk the seven miles along the cycle path back to Calne in aid of Plan UK’s Because I am a Girl campaign.

St Mary's athletes compete at ESAA National Cross Country Final

The ESAA National Cross Country Final took place in Witton Park, Blackburn this year and St Mary's had four athletes taking part.

Girls receive Fantastic University Offers

St Mary’s girls look set to continuing their excellent record of examination results again this year. Over the last decade, the girls have achieved at least 66% A*-A grades and on average 15% of the girls go on to Oxbridge, with the overwhelming majority gaining places at their first choice of university.

Territorial Lacrosse Champions!

Congratulations to Emily, Jemima, Iona and Laura who represented the U19B South West Lacrosse Team at Stowe on 15th March, beating both the South East and the North Teams to become Territorial Champions!

All of the St Mary's teams had an exceptional day of lacrosse at the St Patrick's Day Invitational Tournament, held at Marlborough College over the weekend.
