All LIV Form girls participated in two workshops related to gamelan, a style of music found in Indonesia. As the girls entered Chapel, they were met by the beautifully crafted xylophone and gong-like instruments of the gamelan. Andy Warn, clothed in traditional dress from the Indonesian Royal Court, then introduced the girls to the musical styles of this music. The girls had the opportunity to try out different parts of the gamelan, whilst learning two pieces together as a group. In the Art School, the girls learnt more about the characters of Javanese puppet shows, which are traditionally accompanied with gamelan music, making their own puppets in the process.
