Sailing Race Training
Sail Race Training started last Sunday at South Cerney Sailing Centre. The girls learnt how to put the jibs and sails on and prepare their boats for the water. Out on the lake, the girls were working on their starts and getting good placements for the final whistle. They also worked on racing around a triangle and a sausage course.
There was not much wind out on the lake so a lot of tacking had to be done. There is still a great deal more to learn; next week we will focus on race tactics.
