Macbeth Unsexed took the Edinburgh Fringe by storm, unsettling a fair few audience members, but getting a Four Star Review.

Former St Mary's pupil, Laura Bechtolsheimer, helped Team GB to win their 20th Gold medal last night in dressage, surpassing Beijing 2008 for the team's best tally in more than a century.
On the afternoon of Tuesday 3rd July, 27 LIV Form girls plus staff went to the International Meditation Centre at Heddington just a few miles away from St Mary’s.
On Sunday 1st July Isabelle and Georgina represented Wiltshire in the ESAA South West Schools Combined Event in Exeter.
On 28th June, the LV Form and LVI Form Geographers set off for Iceland.They started their trip with a visit to the beautiful Blue Lagoon, before commencing their coursework investigations.

This year the theme for the Junior Production was Cautionary Tales. It was a culmination of Grimms’ fairytales and playlets adapted from the stories from the German folk tale book Struwwelpeter.

On Monday 25th June, eleven members of ‘Made In Calne’, one of the two Young Enterprise companies at St Mary’s, went to the Wills Memorial Building at Bristol University to take part in the South West Final.
The LIV Form has successfully completed their week of adventure at Adventure International in Bude.

On Wednesday, 8 LVI Form Biology students went to Parsonage Down, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, in Shrewton. The weather was glorious, brilliant sunshine and a gentle breeze, ideal conditions for a morning in the field. (21.06.12).

Congratulations to Franziska, who won the Under 18 section at Nunney International Horse Trials on Saturday 16th June. There were over 40 in her section and she has now qualified for the Under 18 Championships at Weston Park in the Autumn.

Friday night was a beautiful evening to be out rowing. The girls were out in singles and doubles really putting all their knowledge into practice with lots of movement along the river!
The sail racers are now in week two of their training after a successful training session on the lake in the 25 degree sunshine!

Yesterday morning, Calne was lucky enough to have been visited by the Olympic Torch Relay. St Mary’s, along with St Margaret’s Prep School, joined the community and lined the streets to celebrate the passing of the torch.

This Sunday 35 girls from the Fourth Form, including singers from the Chamber Choir and Junior Choir, headed to London to see the RSC’s musical Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre.
We were extremely fortunate to have been visited by children’s author Ellen Renner. Ms Renner spoke about her books and then moved on to discuss the need for female heroes in children’s fiction.
