Latin Play
Latin at St Mary's is alive and well! The entire MIV Form participated in the Festival of Latin Drama held at Redland High School for Girls on Tuesday 22 June. Both plays were performed entirely in Latin and there were six entries in total. The competition is run on similar lines to ancient dramatic festivals with the running order chosen by lot and with a panel of judges. In the finish, MIVE was commended for their energy and costumes in their creative version of Alice in Wonderland and MIVW won the competition with their production of Pyramus and Thisbe and were commended for the standard of the Latin and their acting. It was heartwarming to see every single member of the MIV Form playing their part very well and they all contributed to the success of the occasion.
