LV Form Bushcraft - June 2010
It was a lovely sunny morning for walking through the woods to our Bushcraft base camp. A number of the LV Form started the session by collecting wood to build their fires and finding out about various fire ignition techniques!
They then set about cooking a delicious lunch of sweet potatoes, trout, corn on the cob and bread, before building a shelter to keep them warm and dry – just in case they missed the coach home and had to stay the night! The girls then made bannocks to be cooked in the embers, before having the choice of wide games, or a trapping and skinning demonstration and talk.
The girls had a fantastic time in the woods and hope to go back to stay overnight soon.
