Film making competition and Oscar's ceremony
The quality of the films was exceptional! After previewing the films in our own private showing in chapel, St Mary's hosted our own Oscar ceremony complete with acceptance speechs and statues. The award for Best Picture was presented to "Trapped", which impressed the judges with it's excellent claustrophobic camera work and the use of sublimal cuts to disorient the viewer. Today Calne, tomorrow Hollywood!
