Edinburgh University student, George Bullard spoke about his incredible journey on the tisogreenland expedition. He spoke of his open water swimming with school and the BSES expedition to South Georgia which gave him the ‘exploration bug’. He highlighted the trails and tribulations of the journey towing Gertrude his 225kg sledge behind him, the crucial teamwork between Alex, his teammate and himself that was essential to succeed (and stay alive) and the extent of his physical and mental endurance. His message to all present was to seize every opportunity, focus on the challenge, and give your all to succeed.
We wish him well for his next venture which is travelling from the north to the south of India in a tut-tut.
