LVI Debating
The LVI Form Philosophy and Ethics Group embarked upon their first public debate this week. Chairing the debate was Miss Mackintosh, whose Doctorate is within the area of reproductive technologies, and Mr Graham Smith, Head of the Calne Rotary Club and a keen debater himself. Both judges were hugely impressed with the level of research done by the girls, their confidence and quick thinking skills, and the impressive rebuttal skills demonstrated. To warm up, the girls embarked on voice exercises and debating games before starting the formal debate. Part Two will commence next Wednesday.
