In the 21st January issue of the Sunday Times, Dr Wright talked about the growing trend for Sixth Formers to consider studying abroad, both in Europe and the UK, with a considerable leap in interest and applications for overseas universities at school.
She also talked about students' growing concern about the quality of university teaching in the UK in many top universities.
In the article 'Exodus of students overseas as fees rise', Dr Wright says: 'A decade ago, virtually all the school's girls took degrees in this country, but now about 40% consider going abroad and 15% a year do so. I absolutely, categorically see problems in a whole range of universities outside of Oxbridge.'
