Planet SciCast Awards

On Friday 25th April, the team of UV Form Biologists who reached the final of the Planet SciCast competition went to the Institute of Engineering and Technology for the Planet Scicast Awards Ceremony.

The ceremony was hosted by televisions’ Dr Laura Grant. In true “Hollywood style”, each category was introduced and each nominee had a clip shown of their film, followed by the opening of a golden envelope to reveal the winner. St Mary’s Team was nominated in the “Biology” category and finished as runners up to a film entitled “How to grow your own body parts”.

The Team did fantastically well to be nominated as a finalist and to have their film loaded onto the Planet Scicast website. Congratulations to everyone involved!
