On Thursday 28th February, St Mary’s was delighted to welcome Year 5 children from Leaden Hall and St Margaret’s Preparatory Schools to take part in Starburst - A Music and Drama Performance Workshop.
This annual event was just as successful as last year’s launch. Guided by members of UIV Form, the children rotated in groups around dramatic, choral and instrumental workshops where they explored movement through textual analysis, learnt harmonies and rounds and had the opportunity to try a vast array of different musical instruments.
In the afternoon, the three groups put together everything they had learnt throughout the day, ready to share with their parents. All were impressed by how hard they had worked and how much they had achieved in such a short space of time.
