Bridget Costello, Educational Advisor for the US Educational Advisory Service spoke about the process of Applying to an American university.
We were delighted to welcome interested parents, The Head of Careers from Dauntsey’s School plus a good number from Dauntsey’s Sixth Form to the lecture. It was a most informative talk, highlighting the main differences of the US system and identifying the key dates and deadlines. It was made all the more personal with Ms Costello’s own experiences of studying in the U.S. and of her time in the Admissions Department of a University.
Ms Costello recommended those interested to attend College Day which an annual event held in London. This year it is on the 29th September 2008. Over 100 American institutions are represented at College Day with many Admissions Tutors attending. Further information can be found on the Fulbright Commission’s website.
