Two thousand years ago the angelical host brought the good news of Christ’s birth to the shepherds, through their singing. Two thousand years later we still try to share this wonderful news with those around us. So on Monday 10th of December, the LIV Form Choir walked down to Marden Court, a care home for the elderly, with exactly this purpose in mind. For an hour Christmas carols were sung by the choir and the residents, flanked by two songs sung by the choir only. These were Alan Wood’s setting of Away in a Manger and Gardner’s, The Holly and the Ivy. At the end while the LIV Form enjoyed some refreshments, each resident received a Christmas card, made especially for them by a girl in the choir.
