Mr Dominic Faulkner presents our first Open Sixth Form Lecture
We were delighted to welcome girls, parents, visitors from the local community and other schools to an astounding lecture given by Dominic Faulkner. Mr Faulkner quickly enthralled the audience with his epic journey as Expedition Leader of the EverestMax team. The expedition involved cycling from the Dead Sea, the lowest point of Earth, to the foothills of Everest, and then climbing to Everest’s summit. Dominic was one of three to complete the ‘longest climb on earth’, and in doing so raised £40,000 for charity. The journey came alive with spectacular pictures and breathtaking film footage. We really began to appreciate the huge dangers and perils of the expedition, and the enormity of the team’s achievement. It was an excellent evening and a great success for all.
