Evensong at Salisbury Cathedral - Friday 19th October 2007
The Chamber Choir travelled to Salisbury on the last full day of the half term to sing for evensong. The girls’ renditions of Fauré, Archer and 9th century Plainchant complemented the stunning setting, and the occasion was enhanced by the presence of a sizeable congregation of cathedral regulars, tourists and parents.
The visit was excellent preparation for the next year’s 135th Anniversary Service which will take place in Salisbury on Saturday 8th March.
In traditional fashion, the girls hard work was rewarded with a modest level of indulgence in ASK restaurant – a well deserved treat!
