MIV Form Geography Fieldtrip to the Dorset Coast

On Tuesday 19th June, the MIV Form set off at crack of dawn for the Dorset Coast to
study at first hand the landforms and coastal processes they had been learning about
in class. The fieldwork started with visits to Stair Hole and Lulworth Cove before
walking the coast path to St Oswald's Bay and Durdle Door. After a picnic lunch back
at Lulworth, the group continued to Durlston Head and then to Studland where a hard
day's work was rounded off with a swim and ice cream. Despite the adverse forecast,
not a drop of rain fell all day; this and the girls' good work made the day a great
success.
