‘The best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men / Gang aft agley’ were only a few of the famous words of Robbie Burns that were expertly recited by the staff and girls on the 23rd January.
The entire evening was a great success, from the delicious traditional food (haggis and bashed neeps included!) to the wonderful speeches and entertainment.
Mr Liston began with the very dramatic “Address to the Haggis”, followed by Mr Dho with the “Toast to the Lassies”, while our Head Girl Alexandra responded with a feisty “Toast to the Laddies”.
We were entertained throughout with performances by Emma, Isobel and Flora, and were thrilled by the return of Mr Robert O’Farrell who enlightened us of the life and times of Robert Burns.
It was a wonderful evening, enjoyed by all, and we look forward to yet another celebration next year!
