Kate Cann's talk and workshop

On Thursday 21st September the writer of popular teenage novels Kate Cann met the girls from UIV Form, LV Form and the Sixth Form to talk about her writing career and novels. A wonderfully insightful novelist on the teenage years, her latest novel, ‘Leaving Poppy’, takes a different direction being a ‘can’t put down psychological thriller’; a modern Gothic novel.

In her Gothic Visualisation Workshop the girls closed their eyes as she described various scary situations in which they had a choice of actions to take and write about. This was a fascinating way of producing creative writing!
