Why Choose St Mary's?

Extra Curricular Activities

ImageLife at St Mary’s is about much more than what goes on in the classroom, and the true ‘added value’ comes in the wide range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities available in the evenings and at weekends.

Whether it is sailing or community service, Sign Language club or simply socialising in House, the girls learn how to live together, to be aware of the needs of others, and to develop the personal skills they will need to lead happy and successful lives in the future.

The school day is a full one. After lessons, which normally end at 5.20pm, girls have time to complete prep and to participate in some of the many activities on offer. In addition to music, drama and sports clubs and practices, girls can ride, cook, do archery, further their creativity in a range of art and craft clubs, or learn First Aid. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is also very popular.
