Exams are over, files from last year are in the back of the cupboard and summer is just around the corner, so we thought it was time to tear ourselves away from the French Open and write our first Head Girl’s team blog. So where to begin? We’re still recovering from a pretty tough month of intense revision and exams. It is hard to keep motivated while the sun is temporarily shining but we are being reminded constantly that this is a valuable time to get on top of university applications and a rare opportunity to really expand our knowledge of chosen topics and, of course, catch up on all the Made in Chelsea we missed! Ollie has been busy with sports, donning her tennis whites playing for the first team as well as preparing for Calne’s hotly anticipated lax debut in America this summer. Jess has been learning lines for her upcoming Gold LAMDA exam; while Emilia and Sophie have been following in the footsteps of Kate Winslet in Sense and Sensibility by indulging their historical passions at Montacute House in Somerset on a school outing. All of us have loved having the time to do some wider reading as well, particularly for our Extended Project Qualifications (an in-depth self-led personal project on a subject of our choice to be completed over the next term) and many of us have also been escaping school to visit universities for Open Days.
All in all, a very busy term despite the end of exams!
