St Mary’s Teams are on the ball…

St Mary’s Tennis Teams have enjoyed some oustanding results this week with the Aegon getting off to a very promising start.  All teams beat Dauntsey’s, even though we were playing the team above, and on Saturday six of the seven teams beat Prior Park and the U13 and U12s beat Westonbirt, with five of those teams not dropping a set.

At the Marlborough Athletics Meet on Saturday the inters produced some very fine performances particularly on the track. The team finished fourth out of the six schools which was a respectable result, given we did not enter the 1500m, Javelin or Discus. The depth of the junior team was evident in both the track and in the field events, and their impressive results won the age group and put them in first place overall. Well done particularly to Jemima who won the A string and Lily who won the B string in the 75m Hurdles, 100m, as well as the Long-Jump.  Ariana won the 200m and the 1500m.

Yesterday Caroline competed in the Somerset Combined Championships in the U13 Quadrathlon, fininshing sixth out of 40 girls.

Congratulations to all players and competitors!
